Anduril Industries, a controversial defense technology company, has completed the 5 billion dollars in its H Series funding round. This milestone nearly doubles its valuation, bringing it to a staggering $61 billion. That’s an astounding jump from its last valuation of $30.5 billion exactly one year ago. Returning investors Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz—two funders of other successful technology unicorns—led the funding round. Their support is an indication of increasing faith in Anduril’s innovative potential.
Since its founding in 2017, Anduril has quickly established itself as a leading disruptor of the defense industry. The firm is perhaps best known for its path-breaking innovations in technology. Blackstone strategic equity raised $2.5 billion in 2025 at a $30.5 billion valuation, led by Founders Fund. With this most recent investment, Anduril has now raised over $11 billion from private investors to date.
Not only has Anduril been financially successful, they’ve doubled their revenue in 2025, bringing in $2.2 billion in earnings. The company is actively involved in significant defense projects, including a contract to develop a space-based “golden dome” missile defense system aimed at protecting the continental United States.
Recent announcements have indicated that Anduril is expanding its contracts beyond the U.S., signaling potential growth opportunities on an international scale. For instance, the firm’s life-saving technologies recently earned them recognition and joint developmental collaboration from other defense industry powerhouses.
“When we founded Anduril in 2017, defense was not a category that attracted significant venture investment. That has changed meaningfully over the last several years.” – Brian Schimpf
The military-civil fusion competitive landscape inside the joint defense tech is constantly changing even as other companies raise billions. In July, Shield AI raised a stunning $1.5 billion in Series G funding, raising its valuation to $12.7 billion. The Air Force’s selection of its software even underpins Anduril’s “Fury” autonomous fighter jet. Helsing is said to be finalising a new funding round of $1.2 billion, at a valuation of up to $18 billion. On the other hand, Hermeus raised $350 million in their pre-money valuation round over $1 billion, led by Khosla Ventures.
For months, the industry had anxiously speculated about Anduril’s latest funding round. Its official closing marks the increasing appetite for startup investment that wish to play in the defense technology space.
