Particle, a cutting-edge technology company, has developed a new kind of news app. This new app will provide an immersive experience, deepening the way users interact with podcasts. The app employs a custom AI tool that utilizes large language models (LLMs) to transcribe and summarize episodes from a multitude of right-wing and conservative podcasts. This innovative feature presents articles in a completely new way, redefining the way you read the news. Now, you don’t have to listen to whole episodes in order to be in the know.

Sara Beykpour, the CEO of Particle, is in charge of leading the production and execution of this innovative technology. Beykpour has time in Washington under his belt, having worked as Senior Director of Product Management at Twitter. Now, she carries that robust understanding of product innovation and user engagement to her present role.

The app’s functionality extends beyond simple summaries. Users can engage with news content in a manner that suits their preferences, employing natural language to request summaries in specific styles. In addition, the app’s customized audio feed lets users choose from different voices, adding dynamism and depth to their listening experience.

Particle’s app is not only meant to provide these high-level concise summaries. It just added a “Listen to the News” feature, so users can receive audio briefings on the latest developments. This feature pairs well with the app’s daily crossword puzzles, giving users endless access to brain-teasing fun. If you’re looking for even more interactivity, Particle has you covered! Its AI-powered chatbot handles personal inquiries, allowing you to find personalized information specifically designed for you.

Particle’s technology is uniquely capable of discovering the most relevant content within the ocean of existing podcasts. “We’ve done that basically for any news story — if there is a podcast that is talking about it, or relevant at all, we’ve got all those clips,” Beykpour stated. Best of all, this capability enables the app to match listeners with relevant podcast clips that tie in to developing news stories.

The magic of the technology under-the-hood uses vector embeddings to identify connections between different pieces of content and relevant pieces of news. “We use vector embeddings to understand that these different parts of the podcasts are related to these different stories,” Beykpour explained. This advanced tactic allows listeners to follow complicated storylines through several podcast seasons without skipping a beat.

If you’re interested in unlocking premium features, see Particle’s subscription plan. It’s named Particle+, and it’s only $2.99 / month or $29.99 / year. Subscribers unlock additional features, like exclusive content and deeper personalization capabilities.

The app’s browse tab highlights timely stories, such as the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics, ensuring users remain updated on significant events. Perhaps most interestingly, 55% of Particle’s users are located outside the U.S. India has become the number one market after the U.S., accounting for 15 percent of all users.
